About Me
I began my medical career in 1985 as a Family Physician. As a Family Physician, I have always sought to provide not only treatment for specific disease states but also to work toward prevention of disease. Too often, in modern medicine, prevention refers merely to screening for already existing disease. By gaining control of obesity and adopting the Habits of Health, we can move toward changes which may actually prevent or delay the onset of many disease states.
My personal story involes being a dedicated athlete and yet over the years, seeing 25 unwanted pounds creep on in places they weren't welcome. Despite exercise, they just seemed not to go away.
